Blocks B &C are phase 1 of a mixed use development comprising of residential, retail and medical centre in the heart of Dundalk. Phase 1 regenerates a disused brownfield site to provide 70 apartments. This features a mixture of 1 bed room and 2 bedroom apartments.
The material finishes in the development have been selected with consideration to maintenance, durability and aesthetic value. The proposed envelope of the building blocks is a mix of stone, brick and selected acrylic monocouche render finish. The external façade is built of brick, a tactile
and warm material. Glass balconies reflect light adding a transparency and lightness to the facade. The rhythm of the material palette mitigate the
chance of a dull and repetitive façade. The landscaping is designed primarily around the Interaction of the passer by and resident in a generous public realm mixed with flora and fauna.
Phase 2 will be the construction of Block A which incorporates the mixture of retail, medical centre and 58 apartments.
